iGA Istanbul Airport: 2023 Climate Change Report Results Have Been Announced

iGA Istanbul Airport participated in the Climate Change Program and the Water Security Program of the world's biggest environmental reporting platform, the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), again this year, demonstrating its commitment to the environment and the world. The airport, adopting the sustainability approach of "Our Focus is the World, Our Goal is the Future" and disclosing its governance activities undertaken in response to the ESG risks of the highest importance to the public, has received noteworthy scores in the assessment, marking its success.

iGA Istanbul Airport continues to fulfill its commitment to the principle of "transparency" by constantly reporting and sharing its environmental impacts and sustainability efforts against the global climate crisis with the public. The airport, which reported to the Climate Change and Water Management programs of CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), the world's biggest sustainability rating platform this year as well, achieved significant success by receiving an A- in the Climate Change program and a B in Water Security Program.

According to the Net Zero roadmap, iGA Istanbul Airport achieved its 2023 target with 14% less emissions, accomplishing a 26% emission reduction in 2023 compared to the base year 2019. In 2023, 30% of the water consumed was procured from recycled water, while 35% of the waste generated by the airport was recycled, promoting the economy.
