'Together with 36 other employers, we create opportunities at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol for those with poor employment prospects. We create 75 new jobs at Schiphol each year, from office positions to positions in operations. We are proud that these people can and want to work at Schiphol, which is why we will continue to commit ourselves to creating sustainable employment in the years to come and to doing so with a great deal of energy,' commented Dick Benschop, President and CEO of Royal Schiphol Group.
The implementation of the Aviation Inclusive programme is the responsibility of the Schiphol Aviation Community (SAC). It investigates the possibilities of offering this target group a job or a position to gain work experience at Schiphol. The Schiphol Aviation Community (SAC) is the place where the aviation sector, education and the government come together to shape a joint vision of the sustainable strengthening of the labour market, resulting in the development and implementation of innovative programmes for those who work or want to work at the airport. SAC was founded by Schiphol Group, the Amsterdam Regional Training Centre and KLM.
The general employers' association AWVN is the biggest employers' organisation in the Netherlands. In 2018, it presented four different AWVN Awards for innovative employment.
